Matariki Mid-Winter Festival

NGA WHETU PIATAATA I TE RANGI E / THE BRIGHT STARS THAT SHINE IN THE SKY

Our annual Matariki evening is a beautiful celebration of learning and community, held each year to recognise the setting and rising of the Matariki star cluster. Throughout the seasons leading up to the event, our children study two different atua (gods) and create special presentations about their learning. On this special night, we open our doors to share these presentations with our whānau and wider community. In true Matariki tradition, we bring the evening to a close by coming together to share a delicious meal.
