Ahurei Group

Our students in Year 7 and 8 are in a privileged part of there schooling. They have earned the respect of the other students and are given age appropriate responsibilities within a supportive community. The concept of tuakana teina (mentoring others)forms an important part of these influential years. The Ahurie (unique and special) group have many opportunities unique to them.

Wilderness Camp stream study

Having our own Enviro Schools facilitator on camp was a bit of a bonus when is came to doing the stream study. We were able to collate our results and send a copy to the owners of the property.

Canopy tour and Grip Leadership Day

After a lot of fundraising, the group could finally take their tour of the ancient bush canopy in Rotorua. The students conquered their fears and encouraged each other to keep on going. Some incredible respect for these kids.
