Senior Leaders

Our year 7 and 8 learners are highly valued as leaders in the school.

As well as meeting and exceeding very high academic expectations, our year 7 and 8 learners are invited to stretch their capabilities through learning languages and developing their practical capabilities through the Technical Arts programme run at Cambridge Middle School every Monday morning.

An absolute highlight of the senior years at Te Miro comes through participation in the William Pike Challenge.   Our senior students are invited to discover their own potential, and push themselves through participation in no less than 6 challenging outdoor activities, the development of a new sport, and a contribution to the local community through 20 hours of community service.  As you can see from the photos below, every moment is a thrill!  run every two years, the students have time to plan for the activities and sports that might interest them.

Our Year 7 and 8's run our Radio Station that is live to the local area on     .  The radio is run by the students every day and is used as a platform for students to share their stories, their written work and to build their oral language skills.  Younger members of the school are interviewed along with local members of our community.
Our Rep team represents the students and is the voice for them on any decisions or changes that are made.
