Home Learning

At Te Miro School, Home Learning is:
  • Individual – we choose learning tasks on purpose to support what children are learning in class.
  • Deliberately simple – home learning is never new learning.  It reinforces learning already underway.
  • Manageable and enjoyable – we choose little bites of familiar learning that should take no longer than 10-15 minutes each night.

The home school partnership is treasured.

We support our learners to take charge of their learning, putting in 100% effort to achieve their next steps.  The learning time they put in at home supports their good rate of progress at school.  The emphasis is on our value - RESPONSIBILITY.

Learners will have a tracking sheet which identifies the next learning they need to put effort into.  We encourage learners and their parents to use the links below to find digital tools that support their learning.
